SUMMARY:Building People Power for Change
DESCRIPTION:Leadnow is a people-powered organization that brings Canadians 
 together to fight for a Humanistic just\, sustainable\, and equitable coun
 try. Lead now holds politicians accountable\, pushes for bold climate acti
 on\, and strengthens our democracy by pushing governments to put people ov
 er profit and invest in working-class climate solutions\, public services\
 , and housing.\n\nThe Liberals committed billions of dollars to tackle the
  housing crisis — and it’s up to us as Humanists to make sure that mon
 ey gets invested in people\, not corporate developers. That means we need 
 the federal government to make rent control a requirement for provinces to
  access housing funding\, so that corporate landlords can’t pad their pr
 ofit margins at our expense.\n\nLeading the presentation on how KASHA can 
 work towards change is Alon Eisenstein and Neta Raz.  After witnessing th
 e effects of climate change and observing the rise of the far right in rec
 ent years\, they joined LeadNow as volunteers during the last election cam
 paign\, leading the local Raise the Bar volunteer group and campaigning fo
 r election of progressive candidates. Alon and Neta are driven by the urge
 nt need for climate action and social justice\, in order to create sustain
 able environment and equal society for generations to come.\n\nPlease come
  join us for this important presentation\, and participate in a discussion
  on how KASHA can work towards change in Kelowna.\n\n&nbsp\;
