Let’s Talk Vaccines: Was There Ever An Age Of Reason?

April 7, 2016 @ 7:30 pm - 10:30 pm

- CAD10.00

The presentation is an event sponsored by the Okanagan Science Centre.

Although vaccines are generally regarded as among the most effective public health interventions of all time, paradoxically public confidence in safety and effectiveness of vaccines has declined in recent decades.  Dr. Marcuse will review the history, origins, scope and impact of vaccine hesitancy, highlight some common concerns, and explore the relative role of science, culture and emotion in parents’ vaccine decision-making.
