Bike, Swim, Boat to KASHA's Secular Social Picnic

July 19, 2020

Come by any method possible and join us at this beautiful lakeside park for a pleasant picnic.

Beasley Park is on Woodsdale Road in Lake Country, just off of Highway 97.

Beasley Park has a beach for swimming and boating and a lovely picnic area.  Beasley Park is on an 18 Km. bicycle trail around Wood Lake which is part of the Okanagan Rail Trail.  The trail on the west side of the lake, which is paved, is on the Pelmewash Parkway.  The east side has a hard-packed shale surface. You can bike around the trail in the morning.

Bring the whole family for outdoor fun and pleasant conversations with KASHA members and general community members. Everyone is welcome to join us. Please bring your own chairs. As per Dr. Henry's suggestions, we will also be maintaining a contact list of attendees.

Look for the KASHA signs on the beach.  We will NOT be sharing food, so please bring your own lunch,  non- alcoholic drinks, and snacks. We will be practising physical distancing as per BC Health Guidelines.

"Interior Health's Dr. Silvina Mema said it isn't likely people are spreading or catching the disease simply walking around the city or visiting restaurants while following distancing rules.

"That's not what's driving these recent Kelowna clusters," she said. "It's mainly the indoor gatherings, particularly if there is alcohol involved." from CBC news
