From the Newsroom to City Hall

KASHA's February 18th, 2024, Forum will have Rick Webber, as our guest speaker.

Elected for the first time to Kelowna City Council in October 2022, Councillor Rick Webber has worked as a broadcaster for 43 years on a variety of radio and television stations, including three decades as News Anchor and Executive Editor for Global Okanagan/CHBC Television.

In addition to his role on Kelowna City Council, Rick is an alternate board member for the Regional District of Central Okanagan. Councilor Webber is well acquainted with Kelowna and the surrounding region through his news reporting and as a longtime volunteer emcee for numerous Okanagan organization’s fundraisers and events. In his spare time, he enjoys riding his motorcycle throughout the Okanagan.

Rick will be speaking about his media career and how it has changed through the years.  He will also answer questions about being a city councilor.

The presentation will be held in the meeting room of the Creekside Pub.

We will have lunch at noon and the Forum will start at 1:00 pm.
The Creekside Pub provides the meeting room for free.
