On this day, November 11, 2018 C.E., an evolution tree crawled out of the primordial waters of Mission Creek.  Witnesses to this event were Wendy, Darrel and Ann, each a reliable observer and recorder of all things paleobiological.

Already the tree has evolved to produce branches from which hang prehistoric and present day fauna.

Please visit the tree and chart its evolution into a source of information and inspiration. You are invited to contribute to its biodiversity with objects of your own.

The winter solstice tree is an expression of KASHA’s mission to further science celebration at the time of year where days are shorter and so we shall honour the scientific process that gives us hope and light.

The tree is located is 200 meters (a five-minute walk) west of the Environmental Education Centre for the Okanagan (EECO) on Springfield.  Take the walking path on the north side of the creek.
