Leadnow is a people-powered organization that brings Canadians together to fight for a Humanistic just, sustainable, and equitable country. Lead now holds politicians accountable, pushes for bold climate action, and strengthens our democracy by pushing governments to put people over profit and invest in working-class climate solutions, public services, and housing.

The Liberals committed billions of dollars to tackle the housing crisis — and it’s up to us as Humanists to make sure that money gets invested in people, not corporate developers. That means we need the federal government to make rent control a requirement for provinces to access housing funding, so that corporate landlords can’t pad their profit margins at our expense.

Leading the presentation on how KASHA can work towards change is Alon Eisenstein and Neta Raz.  After witnessing the effects of climate change and observing the rise of the far right in recent years, they joined LeadNow as volunteers during the last election campaign, leading the local Raise the Bar volunteer group and campaigning for election of progressive candidates. Alon and Neta are driven by the urgent need for climate action and social justice, in order to create sustainable environment and equal society for generations to come.

Please come join us for this important presentation, and participate in a discussion on how KASHA can work towards change in Kelowna.
