Tour of the Universe. Starting at Earth, we travel outward, stopping at a few celestial objects for a closer look. We discover we are star-stuff and how many stars there are. We end with finding just how much we know, or don’t know, about the universe.

Our presenter for this Forum will be Colleen O’Hare, one of the hard-working volunteers for RASC Okanagan Centre.

Colleen has always been interested in science, and in 2004, she found time to join the RASC Okanagan Centre. She quickly gravitated towards Outreach and is currently the Outreach Program Director. She enjoys sharing her passion by presenting slide shows to schools and clubs as well as participating in public community events. As a founder of the Okanagan Observatory, she starts the public nights off with a presentation and then joins other members with their telescopes to amaze the guests with celestial sights. Colleen was awarded the inaugural Qilak award in 2012 and has just been honoured with an asteroid named for her. (10096 Colleenohare – 1991 RK5) She is thoroughly comfortable with the label of ‘astronomoholic’.
