The Creative Process: How it Works and How it Evolved
The creative process can seem magical and inexplicable, but is it really? Liane Gabora, an interdisciplinary scientist at UBC Okanagan, will explain how research at the interface of cognitive psychology, neuroscience, anthropology, and computational modeling is shedding light on how the creative process works and how our capacity to create evolved.

Liane Gabora's research focuses on how culture evolves, how the creative process works, and how it fuels the evolution of culture. A prolific writer she has almost 200 scholarly publications in journals that span psychology, cognitive science, biology, computer science, physics, mathematics, anthroplogy, archaeology, and interdisciplinary studies, as well as literature. She is a published fiction writer, composes music, and lectures worldwide. https://people.ok.ubc.ca/lgabora

Like the last forum, the evening will commence at 6:00 pm with time for a meal and some social interaction before delving into our topic. Come and join us for what should be an informative evening!
