Recent Activities:

Several KASHA members were at the tiny park in the parking lot beside Bread Co. for the launch of our piano on the of morning of June 15th.
It looks great!  Thank you, Saturday for getting KASHA involved in Pianos in Parks and doing the artwork.

The funding for Pianos in the Parks goes entirely into the moving and upkeep of the pianos which Okanagan Piano Service and Festivals Kelowna manage.  By being in the piano ambassador program KASHA has made it possible to save a piano that was otherwise destined for the landfill. Still, it now gets tuned up with a funky fresh coat of paint and gifted back to the community for the summer.  As an ambassador, KASHA influences the look of the piano and the choice of who can paint it, or they can leave the art up to Festivals Kelowna to take care of. The ambassador is expected to check up on the piano occasionally to report to Festivals Kelowna if the piano needs cleaning or maintenance.

KASHA’s Greater Good Committee has organized a street clean-up in downtown Kelowna.
The clean-up will be the sidewalks on both sides of Bernard Ave from Richter Street to Water Street.
If you wish to participate, join us on the sidewalk in front of Safeway at 1:00 PM on April 23.

Jess from the Greater Good Committee (GGC) has organized KASHA’s partnership with the Candian Blood Services. You can now register as being part of KASHA’s donor pledge. The GGC has organized this partnership to encourage and support KASHA members to give blood.
