Daily Courier columnist right about prayers at council meetings

I want to congratulate Ron Seymour on his thoughtful, and in my opinion enlightened, piece in The Daily Courier’s Nov 5 edition regarding prayers at inaugurations.

It is high time all our town and city councils comply with the Supreme Court ruling against prayer in the public sphere.

I applaud Lake Country for doing the right thing and dispensing with this outdated practice and keeping their focus on the business of running their affairs. I sincerely hope Kelowna and West Kelowna will comply also. Donna Campbell, West Kelowna
